And, here are some fun videos and the ukulele.

Jake Shimabukuro plays "While My Guitar Gently Weeps"

This is the famous Central Park video shot by Jason Tagg for Jason's show Midnight Ukulele Disco that people are still discovering two years after it was posted.

Jake has credited this video for helping spread the ukulele to a wider audience.

The original video can be found at Midnight Ukulele Disco, with other videos from Jake Shimabukuro

Here are some other Jake videos of the same song:

Jake performs this George Harrison classic in the key of Gm/G taking advantage of the ukulele unique re-entrant g C E A tunings and the open strings that this key offers.

I (Curt Sheller) have an arrangement for solo uke in the original key of Am/A on my While My Guitar Gently Weeps lesson page.

Ohta-San and Iwao play "A Spy In Love"

Herb Ohta, internationally renowned musician, began playing the 'ukulele when he was only 7 years old. Influenced greatly by Hawaiian 'ukulele virtuoso Eddie Kamae, this exceptional musician has elevated the ukulele from an accompaniment solo instrument status.

(Short Bio from the KoAloha web site) - In Japan, there is a name synonymous with ukulele. That name is simply known as "Iwao." Iwao had a very successful career as a guitar player, producing many albums with that first instrument. He attended a performance by Ohta-san and a new love for the ukulele grew rapidly in his heart. He now focuses his efforts into his awesome ukulele playing. There is no bigger ukulele star in Japan than Iwao.
