I have TAB for this arrangement at: Eleanor Rigby
Herbert "Herb" Alpert (born March 31, 1935) is an American musician most associated with the group variously known as Herb Alpert & The Tijuana Brass or as Herb Alpert's Tijuana Brass or just TJB for short. He is also famous for being a recording industry executive — he is the "A" of A&M Records (a recording label he and business partner Jerry Moss founded and eventually sold). Alpert's musical accomplishments include five number one hits, twenty-eight albums on the Billboard charts, eight Grammy Awards, fourteen Platinum albums and fifteen Gold albums. As of 1996, Alpert had sold 72 million albums worldwide.
“You hear 3 notes and you know it's Herb Alpert !” - ( Miles Davis from a 1989 interview )
Here is my (Curt Sheller) performance of this arrangement. I used a Pono PTRC-CE Tenor cutaway, solid rosewood back and sides, solid cedar top, maple binding.
I have a dedicated page for this song on my UkuleleLessons pages with a TAB of this arrangement.
Here are YouTube video links and information on some great ukulele performers I've collected over time. As I run across videos I'll post a link and information here.
I've started with the big names on the uke stage and some of my favorites. Ukulele musicians like Jake Shimabukuro, James Hill, Herb "Ohta San" Otha, Iwao and a few more…
And, here are some fun videos and the ukulele.
This is the famous Central Park video shot by Jason Tagg for Jason's show Midnight Ukulele Disco that people are still discovering two years after it was posted.
Jake has credited this video for helping spread the ukulele to a wider audience.
The original video can be found at Midnight Ukulele Disco, with other videos from Jake Shimabukuro
Here are some other Jake videos of the same song:
Jake performs this George Harrison classic in the key of Gm/G taking advantage of the ukulele unique re-entrant g C E A tunings and the open strings that this key offers.
I (Curt Sheller) have an arrangement for solo uke in the original key of Am/A on my While My Guitar Gently Weeps lesson page.

Herb Ohta, internationally renowned musician, began playing the 'ukulele when he was only 7 years old. Influenced greatly by Hawaiian 'ukulele virtuoso Eddie Kamae, this exceptional musician has elevated the ukulele from an accompaniment solo instrument status.
(Short Bio from the KoAloha web site) - In Japan, there is a name synonymous with ukulele. That name is simply known as "Iwao." Iwao had a very successful career as a guitar player, producing many albums with that first instrument. He attended a performance by Ohta-san and a new love for the ukulele grew rapidly in his heart. He now focuses his efforts into his awesome ukulele playing. There is no bigger ukulele star in Japan than Iwao.
Iwao is consider one of Japan's premier ukulele musicians.
