Here are a few comments from 2004 regarding the great Raezer's Edge made by the late Rich Raezer

From Jimmy Bruno (jimmybruno.com) - ...the new tower is with me all the time. It's small, plenty of power and sounds great. I used a clarus with everything set on 12 o'clock. The volume pot on the guitar was a little under wide open.  tone control was wide open. I used a boss digital reverb pedal, I used setting 11 with the balance just barely on and al other knobs where at 12 o'clock.

Raezer's Edge New Twin 8 Tower, Clarus Acoustic Image, Boss RV-3

From Mark Kleinhaut - (www.invisiblemusicrecords.com) Actually, I like to play pretty softly but sometimes the room is large or there can be lots of people.  That's why I like having more speaker boxes so I can have the dispersion without having to really crank.  The Clarus puts out lots of very clean power.  The Raezer's S-12 cab is 8 ohms which draws only 120 watts from the Clarus- but its wicked loud. When I get the second 8 ohm S-12, they will combine to a 4 ohm load which is supposed to pull 200Watts from the clarus...

Raezer's Edge Stealth 12

From David C. Stephens

Stealth 10 - The most natural and acoustic of the RE cabs, with extended bass and flat highs. No midrange hump.

Stealth 12 and One 8 -- Like twins, only the One 8 requires more power. Both have what I call a, bebop hump, adding emphasis in the upper bass and lower midrange. Kind of my definition of the 'classic jazz guitar tone'. Believe it or not, with the levels matched, most cannot tell them apart.

Twin 8 - 200 Like the S12 and O8, but with more bass and a little less edge in the upper midrange. If you like a dark, warm sound, this is a good choice. I just got back from driving one with an Allen "Old Flame" head, which sounded very nice indeed. There's a 300 watt version of the T8 that has a little more edge on the upper mids.

Twin 8 - Tower - Behaves and sounds like the Stealth 12, just a little louder and more efficient. Lately I've been hooked on using this, combined with a One 8.

For all Raezer's Edge products

From Jack A Zucker - Combining the Twin 8 Tower and a Stealth 12 (Three 8 ohm speakers in parallel) results in  a 2.66 ohm load. That's probably fine for the Clarus but I'm not sure it would be such a good idea for other amplifiers. It's probably best to check with your amplifier manufacturer. Some amps have a minimum of 4 ohms.

The other thing to consider is that 2/3rd of your signal will be routed to the Twin 8 and only 1/3rd to the S12. Some folks might be expecting half the volume to go through each cabinet. Of course, the efficiency of the speaker plays a role here as well...
