Not much more than a good pair of shoes and comfortable clothing are needed to race walk. Racewalking Shoes - I personally have had very good results with Mizunos in the past. Here is link to an article by Dave McGovern regarding the proper shoes for racewalking. Dave also has a section on his site with the Latest Racelking Shoe Deals.
