I'm using a low G set of the `Alohi strings on my main tenor and a high G set of Manaha strings on another tenor and really love these strings. I liked them so much I'm making them available right here on my site.
Recommendations
I've been asked more than a few times to reccommend which books to start with. This can best be addressed by a series of questions that I would typically ask.
This is usually followed by me determining what level are you at in your development? This can vary depending on where you are at in your current development with chords, single note playing, knowledge of music theory, etc...
You can start by taking an inventory or survey of you skills on guitar or ukulele. This will help in developing a plan for learning new stuff on your instrument or even general music.

Learn a variety of strums and rhythmic patterns in wide range of musical styles.
One of the first skills a ukulele player learns is the art and craft of strumming, playing rhythm. This refers to an accompaniment technique suitable for the singer, singer - songwriter or someone who plays a support role for another instrument.
