Using this really cool online site Backpack for tracking my TO DO list, notes and other goodies. Stumbled on to it while exploring the Ruby programming language and Ruby on Rails. Ever since leaving programming for music I've always wanted to get back into it an Ruby on Rails seems like the way to go. Reminds me of the fun of learning programming with HyperCard

If you are running passive pickup on your guitar or ukulele you will need on of these for recording and live work.
As I dive deeper and deeper in to internal css, html and JavaScript of the site, I've collected a bunch of information, links and resources regarding this topics. As with most other things in the site I format it and place on the web for reference for al and myself.
This page contains a series of backing tracks that I had professionally record many moons ago. I'm now releasing some of the with the accompanying lead sheet and other goodies.
This is a fun song to play on ukulele. One the simple songs to play along with guitar players. They can solo over the changes using only the A blues and A Pentatonic scales. If a rock guitar player only knows two scales those are probably the ones.
Here is a great video by Michael Levin and Witt Monts titled
Made by Hand of luthier Mike DaSilva in his
show that has been added to the Ukulele Building page
and Ukulele Instruments page.
Brand new menu system used for navigation. This is an attempt to better organize the site as it has grown to well over 300 pages of content. And, to finally get things working in the ever troubling Window's IE world.
This menu system is Tigra Menu and is JavaScript based and pretty robust. Plus, actually works the same on Macs and Windows.
Been under the weather and deep into getting the taxes done for a week or so and finally getting back to some updates.
Been following the sled dog races in Alaska this year. There is the Yukon Quest at 1000 miles that runs between Fairbanks, Alaska and Whitehorse, Yukon Territory, Canada each February. The Iditarod that starts the first weekend in March in Anchorage, Alaska and runs to Nome, Alaska. And, finally the All Alaska Sweepstakes race that is a one-time 100th anniversary race from Nome to Candle, Alaska and back, with an $100,000 winner take all purse. With Lance Mackey winning the Yukon Quest for the last 4 year and the Iditirod race back-to-back this year and last. The All Alaska Sweepstakes should be on hell of a race.

Posted a video to YouTube of myself and Pat Lenz jamming on the standard The Girl from Ipanema at the Nazareth Guitar Institute January 30, 2008.
Each guitar building class that Dale Unger has I make a trip to Nazareth and shoot some photos and this time I brought along a HD camcorder and captured some great video footage and Dale shoot me performing with Pat Lenz who attended past classes and came in to help Dale with this class. Pat is a great jazz guitarist as well.
I'm playing my 7 string legend that Dale finished for me September 2007 and Pat Lenz is playing Dick Boak's American Archtop.

Enhanced main site navigation (to the left). With the site containing close to or over 500 pages of content it can, at times even for me, be hard to find things.

I've used these tracks with guitar, ukulele and bass students. It works on many levels from learning to keep you place to added a great lead guitar (or ukulele) part.

Using a new css framework called Blueprint CSS I've made massive changes to the underlying structure of the site. As the both the CurtSheller.com and JazzGuitarResources.com web site have grown to over 500 pages each and more manageable site would be nice. All in an effort to make the site easier to read anf find content, have a consistent look across browsers and computer platforms. And, to really learn some of the high-techy stuff like css and JavaScript.

We have been getting our products to our customers using online ordering since 2000. In all of that time (and across the hundreds of orders processed) our customers have not had one instance of credit card difficulties due to online ordering.
Our online orders are fully encrypted and our e-commerce site is directly provided by ccNow, a secure online retailer. The security technology is state of the art and your credit card information is transmitted only once.
All products are in stock and will normally be shipped out to you on the next business day.
All orders purchased here at CurtSheller.com,
JazzGuitarResources.com, UkuleleResources.com
UkuleleChords.net and
UkuleleForGuitarPlayers.com
are processed using a secure shopping cart system and shipped within 48
hours USPS. Allow 7 to 10 business days for delivery. It is not our
intention to profit from shipping and handling charges. The rates are an
average cost, and intended to cover expenses only. Please do not ask how
long it will takes to get your order. All US orders are shipped USPS
Priority Mail® or USPS First-Class Mail® (under 1lb) and delivery dates
are not predictable. I do not check on an order not received until three
weeks have elapsed since it was shipped. Three weeks is not how long it
takes to get your order. Rather, it is how long it takes to convince us
that something is wrong. Some orders are returned by the USPS and we
have to wait to see if that has happened before any action is taken.
Thanks, Curt Sheller Publications.
